And then it appeared!

The first egg has been laid! The Jessops had a very exciting day today with the discovery of the first egg from our chicks, we don't know which was the proud egg maker, but good on ya!I have a feeling that we will have many visits for 'egg checks' over the next few days.

The chickens have arrived!!

After weeks of preparation and excitement, our chickens have arrived! All is going great so far, no eggs yet, but they aren’t due to lay for a week, we told Sadiemay that they would lay an egg for the O'Dowd-Hills!
Unfortunately word got around the parish that 6 new chicks were in town and on Monday evening Mr. Mink arrived sniffing about our back door! I screamed at him...YOUR NOT WELCOME HERE, but he didn’t have any English, I think he understood my body language! We haven’t since him since!
Sadiemay now makes a daily morning trek to visit her chicks....

Lillians hair is still going through the 'none there' stage, so after giving my own hair a full-on brushing, we used the 'fallen out' hair as a method of seeing how Lillian would look....too many styles to choose from!

Our Lilly Rae eats!

Lillian took her first spoon of rice on Saturday....its all abit over-rated~she thinks!mothers milk still takes first place.
